FER/Modal - A finite element program for modal analysis of
structures
The
natural frequencies and mode shapes are important parameters in the design of a
structure for dynamic loading conditions. They are also required if you want to
do a spectrum analysis or a mode superposition harmonic or transient analysis.
The mode extraction method implemented intoFER/Modalis the subspace iterative method.
The main
features of FER/Modal:
- modal analysis (natural frequencies and mode shapes) of
structures.
- element library: spar, beam, shell, solid 2D, solid
3D
- sub-space iterative method
- in-core skyline form of stiffness matrix and mass matrix
(lumped or consistent).
- postprocessing by FER/View.
